Park and shower at Soho cycle club
H2 has now opened a private club for cyclists in Dufours Place, Soho.
Not only are users able to shower at the club after their cycle to work, they can park their bikes, leave equipment there and use the gym.
In addition to 230 secure cycle parking places - and a useful rail to hang locks - the club provides a dry cleaning and laundry service, towel and locker hire and bike servicing.
After a joining fee of £5, the club charges a membership fee of £39.99 a month (£17.99 off peak). Other rates are available for those who commute only two days a week etc.
The club is the idea of property developer and keen cyclist Piers Slater, who spent 10 years showering and changing in cramped offices and health clubs. Eventually tired of using poor facilities, he decided to create a solution.
