Leicester Square: cycle parking removed

As part of a programme of 'improvements' Westminster has removed cycle parking from Leicester Square and banned cyclists from locking on to street furniture.

We are suggesting a number of alternative sites to the council. Unlike the old stands, you might even be able to cycle to them!

You may like to suggest cycle parking sites yourself:

• By emailing the council
• Through the London Cycling Campaign’s Cycle Parking 4 London campaign

Please remember that sites are suitable for cycle parking only if

• They are on the public highway rather than private property.
• The are unlikely to obstruct pedestrians.

In the meantime, the nearest cycle parking sites are in Orange Street and St Martin's Street.
